Drakensang

Classic fantastic role playing game.

Drakensang is a Computer RPG based on the classic German pen and paper game Das Schwarze Auge (published in English as The Dark Eye). The game leaves aside the latest tendency in the genre that was striving towards action based games, and sets a more interactive point of view.

  The story that you will find in the game will send you traveling around Ferdok while trying to avenge the death of a friend. As in most RPG you will have the chance to choose most things about your character, including sex, profession, race and skills, before starting your voyage.

  If you can't be bothered creating your own character you will also have the chance to choose one of the 20 pregenerated characters. Drakensang: The Dark Eye develops in way that is more similar to a normal pen and paper game, requiring that you investigate to obtain information that leads you in the right direction, as well as using your skill and items to complete any challenge that you may encounter.

  The game system is somewhat different to what you can find in many other titles, specially those set around the D&D, but with a little time is shouldn't be to difficult to understand all the ins and out of the different skill and ability scores.

  A worthy RPG adaptation, that the majority of fans of the genre will enjoy for hours on end. What's more, the game has graphics and a playability that can compete with any title on the market. Thanks to Drakensang, the true role playing games are back.
